MEETING SCHEDULE

SUNDAY MORNING EARLY SERVICE: 

For members who have to work; 8:15 – 9 am in the Family Life Center.

 

SUNDAY MORNING CLASSES:

Adult Bible Class: Fellowship Center – 9:30AM – The Life, Teaching and Ministry of Jesus begins September 5.Teacher – Don Craig.

Adult Bible Class:  Adult Classroom – 9:30AM – Sacred Marriage (Oct. 3rd – Nov. 7th). Teacher – Jay Thornell.  (Only 18 spots available; see Jay to reserve your spot and to purchase a book).

 

TUESDAY LADIES’ CLASSES:

The Ladies’ Bible Class: Each Tuesday @ 10:00AM, beginning September 14th.

Needle Work Group: Each Tuesday after the Ladies Bible Class, (about noon) starting September 14th.

            

WEDNESDAY NIGHT BIBLE STUDY:

Adult Bible Class: Fellowship Center  - 7:00PM – Baptism of the Holy Spirit and ….. begins Wed.,  Sept 1.  Teacher   Jay Thornell. 

                Classes for all ages begin at 7:00PM.

 

FALL ADULT BIBLE CLASSES

Upcoming adult Bible classes will include these topics:  Baptism of the Holy Spirit, Sacred Marriage, The Prosperity Gospel, and more.  Make plans to be a part of our Bible fellowship on Sundays and Wednesdays this fall!!  Note:  See Meeting Schedule!

              ANNUAL BEACH PICNIC

Our annual beach outing at Litchfield-By-The-Sea will be held on Saturday, September 25th.  If you haven’t done so … be sure to mark your calendar.  THREE SIGN-UP SHEETS posted on the bulletin board … ALL IMPORTANT: #1: Attendance; #2: Needed food items; and #3: Volunteers … especially the COOKS … without them it won’t be much of a picnic!

          FISHERS OF MEN SEMINAR

The Georgetown Church of Christ is hosting this seminar which trains Christians in the area of evangelism on twelve consecutive Mondays, beginning August 30 from 6 – 8:30 p.m.  There is no charge.  If you are interested, call Barry Griffith at 979-0737.

VOLUNTEER SIGH-UP SHEETS

Helen Tesner has posted 2 new sigh-up sheets: #1) A list to volunteer to help in the kitchen during pot luck that is posted on the bulletin board; and #2) A list to provide Wednesday night snacks and this list is taped to the kitchen door.  Let’s all help Helen and sigh up today!

FASTING IN SEPTEMBER

In keeping with our theme, “More Than Bread,” during this month we are encouraging our members, who are able, to participate in some type of fast from food.  Each Tuesday this month, skip a meal, skip a snack, try a 24 hour liquid fast from 6pm Monday to 6pm Tuesday!  In other words, abstain from food in some way for a period of time and meditate on our theme for the year – “Man does not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.”  If you would like more guidance as you plan to do this, contact Jay!

PIZZA NIGHT!!!

PIZZA NIGHT TO KICK-OFF NEW WEDNESDAY NIGHT BIBLE STUDY ON SEPTEMBER 1ST:  We’ll eat pizza together from 6 – 6:45 p.m. and then begin new Bible classes for all ages @ 7 p.m.  If you plan to eat, let Helen know at 333-4505 or htzm4@yahoo.com. Or, last day to sign the sheet on the bulletin board.
